People sometimes ask why I don't move somewhere with more tech companies. The honest answer is that Lubbock is the point.
The 806 is the customer
The businesses I want to help are here: roofers, HVAC companies, restaurants, shops, the people who keep West Texas running. I spent years walking into their buildings as a salesman. I know what their week looks like. That's hard to learn from far away.
806 Growth exists for them. It builds websites, lead follow-up and missed-call recovery for Lubbock service businesses, in plain language, with someone local to call.
A town needs a place to find itself
I started 806 Connect in August 2025 because finding what's going on in Lubbock meant checking a dozen places. It's a hub for local businesses, events, news and neighbors in the 806, in English and Spanish. It's still growing, and I want it to be useful before it's anything else.
Showing up
Since November 2025 I've served as president of United Neighborhood Outreach, a faith-based nonprofit serving West Texas families with meals, education and resources. Before that I led the Lubbock chapter of HACEMOS, AT&T's Hispanic employee group, and then served as its VP of Operations for the Southwest region in 2025.
None of that is a business plan. It's just how I want to live here. The companies and the community work are the same commitment from two directions: make the 806 a better place to run a business and raise a family.
So I build here. If you're in Lubbock and want to talk, text me.
